Candidates
Working flexibly, part-time or for a fixed-term contract either in-house for a law firm appeals to many lawyers who are looking for a greater degree of work/ life balance whilst retaining the challenge and satisfaction of a continuing career.
Additional Support
Lexington Gray is a niche recruitment agency and placing the right candidate in the right job is its absolute priority. We recognise that candidates are ambassadors for our business and will do all that we can to support them in their job search.
To assist candidates in their search for a job and to ensure that they are fully up to date and prepared for their new role, Lexington Gray has arranged access to specialist support and advice from two market leaders:
PLC ADVANTAGE
PLC provides free access to all its UK know-how services to candidates
registered with Lexington Gray.
PLC services are used by 3,400 organisations worldwide including 80% of the UK's largest law firms and 90%of the FTSE 100. The service covers 18 areas of commercial and private client law and provides a range of practical materials including legal updates, practice notes, standard documents and checklists.
CONFIDENCE BUILDING AND INTERVIEW PRESENTATION SKILLS
Lexington Gray can arrange for candidates to have a two hour master-class at a reduced rate with a leading Personal Impact Company. They are experts in their field and have developed and delivered programmes for over 70 UK and multi-national organisations including a number of Magic Circle Legal Firms, JP Morgan, Citi, Merrill Lynch, UBS and are accredited trainers for The United Nations.
The Personal Impact and Presentation session is perfect preparation, ensuring that individuals relay their qualities and unique selling points with confidence and ease
during an interview.
How to apply
Because we aim to provide a market leading service, not every lawyer will progress through the vetting process. We believe it is important to meet candidates face to face wherever possible and gain as full an understanding of their aspirations and
requirements as we can.
We require you to provide us with a detailed CV and at least two references for us to follow up. This process ensures that we can make the right introductions and that we do not waste a client's or a candidate's time by sending them to interviews for jobs for
which they are unsuited.
Lawyers interested in finding a flexible, part-time or fixed-term position through Lexington Gray will need a current practising certificate and should send a detailed CV and a covering letter with details of at least two referees to Fiona Severs at Lexington Gray.
